LIFE AND DEATH In serving satan you are giving him permission to bring darkness into your life. Darkness is irrevocably associated with death and by having darkness in your life you will experience death in every area in your life. In the beginning as you walk your path of disobedience it may be prosperous to choose against the Creator of human and earth but you must remember that once you choose deliberately to disobey Him He is leaving you to your own devices, because He is a gentle Father, not like satan that is forcing his dictatorship upon his followers. Adding to the equation is the fact that satan did not tell you is that he will forsake you to go through your consequences of your wrong choices alone once he is finished with you, unlike the Heavenly Father that never forsake His children in the midst of any battle or any tribulation. In the Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ there is life. “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.” John 5: 24 NIV LIFE AND INTERCESSION It is therefore only the children of God who has crossed over from life to death who can stand in the presence of the Almighty God who is holy. For if you make the choice to accept the gift of eternal life as your own and you serve your Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ in spirit and in truth you are consecrated in the blood of the Lamb, then therefore you can go into the holy of holies, which is the throne room of the Creator of heaven and earth. It is in this life that the intercessors receive their boldness to go before the King of heaven to put forth their prayer requests; no one who has not yet received the gift of eternal life cannot go into the holy of holies because they are spiritually dead, and cannot hope ever to get into communion with the Life giver. Therefore in order to participate in intercession you have to know your stand in Christ Jesus through righteousness as well as to live the life of grace that came through the blood of the Lamb. You cannot take up your authority in your prayer life without these two practical aspects in your life. UNDERSTANDING YOUR STAND IN CHRIST JESUS AS AN INTERCESSOR Roman 3: 24-25 “(All) are justified and made upright and in right standing with God freely and gratuitously by His grace (His unmerited favor and mercy), through the redemption which is (provided) in Christ Jesus, Whom God put forward (before the eyes of all) as a mercy seat and propitiation by His blood (the cleansing and life-giving sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation, to be received) through faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over and ignored former sins without punishment.” Whom God put forward (before the eyes of all) as a mercy seat and propitiation by His blood (the cleansing and life-giving sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation, to be received) through faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over and ignored former sin without punishment.” Amplified Grace is a small word but with lots of eternal meaning. Because it is taught so much it can easily be overlooked or misunderstood. No wonder, because of this small giant we receive the gift that has brought us from death into life. Grace is merely the unmerited favor and mercy of God. In modern terms I will try to explain it this way: Let’s say as an example that you have increased debt coming over years. Suddenly all of your debtors are knocking on your door for retribution payments. No matter what you do there is just no possible way for you to pay that outstanding debt plus the inflation costs. Out of desperation you try everything: negotiations, loans, extra income possibilities, etc. The outcome: Nothing seems to satisfy your debtors. Just as the situation get out of hand and you are about to lose all of your assets, you hear a knock on your door. As you open the door you see a man that you do not know. He hand you a check for your full outstanding amount plus the extras to provide you for your living expenses for the rest of your life. As you hold the check in your hand you are unsure what to do with it, for you know there is just no way that you can pay him back, no matter how hard you try. Yet with compassion in his eyes he tell you that it is a gift and that he wants you to have it, no strings attached. All that you have to do is to accept the check. With a grateful heart you accept the check because some way you knew that your gratefulness is thank you enough towards your benefactor. In the same way your sins are debt in the eyes of the Almighty God that has increased so much that nothing you do can spare you from the penalty of sin which is death; no riches, no works and not even your goodness. For everyone has sinned and are born into sin. Then God the Heavenly Father in His grace send His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sin on the cross. He became the middle man between us and the Heavenly Father. Therefore Jesus Christ knocks at your door and He is giving you the “check’ for the payment for sin which you cannot pay. All that you have to do is to open the door and receive the “check” which is the gift of salvation. This gift of salvation is the gift of grace. What it means is that Jesus Christ, the Mediator paid the full price for you through His blood so that you can have eternal life here on earth and in heaven when He calls you home. The intercessor’s faith in this act of grace makes all the difference for they understand it is through grace that they can go into the holy of holies to bring their requests to the Son who did all for them that they could not do and because what He did the intercessor through faith comes in all boldness before the throne on behalf of others who need that grace in their lives as well.
