Add Love to Faith

2 Pet 1:5-7
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

Beloved halleluaia!!!

Our faith is the virtue which overcomes the world and all its tribulations coming from the onslaught of Satan and his cohorts of hell.

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 Jn 5:4

Apostle Peter therefore admonishes us to Add ...epichoregeo..gk, meaning ...to furnish besides, ...fully supply, ...aid, ...contribute, ...add, ...minister, to your faith because love conquers all.

In other words, contribute and fully supply to your faith to hold on to God's Word of promise. Grow your faith and make it strong.

Faith which works by love is not transferable but it must arise out of each person's heart. Therefore give all diligence to add to your faith.

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Gal 5:6

It is our love which sets faith working as God Almighty has dealt to every man who is born again the measure of faith.

Faith ...pistis..gk, means ...persuation, ...moral conviction of the truthfulness of God, ...reliance upon Christ for salvation, ...constancy in such profession, ...assurance, ...belief, ...believe, ...faith, ...fidelity is in God our Father and the son of the living God Jesus Christ.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Heb 11:1

In other words, faith is reliance on the Word of promise from God which cannot lie or change and Holding on to the truthfulness of God's Word and constancy in such profession. By possessing and professing such faith in God, add love to your faith which will make it work.

This Love ...agape..gk, whcih means ... affection, ...benevolence, ...dear, ...love., flows from the heart with good judgment and a deliberate choice. It is distinguished from, phileo..gk, meaning love flowing from the mind, that is, to be fond of or have affection for or attachment to or a feeling.

Both are needed to help your faith work and demonstrate it the more in your sphere of contact.

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. Col 3:14

Thus Jesus' Love ...agape..gk, for God which is supreme, we receive by abiding in it and that (Love) charity edifieth us, 1 Cor 8:1, to build up our faith to flow to people with love ...phileo..gk. The bible says...

If any man love God, the same is known of him. 1 Cor 8:3

Without love, faith is dead because it is by love which set our faith working. It is by love we have faith in God, heal, deliver and give to God and our neighbor even your enemy. The more you do love and show love and your love work, your faith is increasing.

See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. 1 Thes 5:15

To demonstrate our faith in this generation, it is by love's work. Jesus says do good and love even your enemy that by your love many will be turned to salvation.

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Gal 6:10
