Add Brotherly Kindness to Faith

2 Pet 1:5-7
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

Beloved, halleluiah!!
Apostle Peter admonishes us to Add ...epichoregeo..gk, meaning ...to furnish besides, ...fully supply, ...aid, ...contribute, ...add, ...minister, to your faith.

In other words, contribute and fully supply to your faith to hold on to God's Word of promise. That is, Grow your faith and make it strong and lively to change things.

This is because Faith is not transferable but it must arise out of each person's heart. Therefore give all diligence to add to your faith in your walk of life. We are in the household of faith where we are brothers and sisters born and made clean by the Word of God.

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: 1 Pet 1:22

A brother is described as a ...
- Son of the same parents as another or
- Fellow member of a religious community, Church

Brotherliness or brotherly is the characteristic of being brotherly or brothers. And kindness is also described as ...
- The state of being kind and having charitable behaviour.

Therefore beloved, brotherly kindness is a charateristic state of being kind and having a charitable behavior in the household of God. Being born again, we are born into a family of chosen ones of royal lineage to form a nation of believers.

Faith only works by love and that works of faith is to be brotherly kind to another even to your enemy.

Our faith which is the reliance on the Word of promise from God which cannot lie or change and Holding on to the truthfulness of God's Word.

It is also the constancy in such profession and our response to the Word of God. This faith is to be proven before a crooked and a perversed generation to win them to Christ.

Beloved add brotherly kindness ...philadelphia..gk, meaning ...fraternal affection, ...brotherly love, or kindness, ...love of the brethren to your faith.

Because we are born of love we must of necessity produce a kind and a charitable behaviour towards one another to prove we are the disciples of Jesus. Being brotherly kind is to give out your love, smile, time, your money and possessions to others and to God. The more love poured out in our by the Holy Ghost, the more we must demonstrate this love to others.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. Jn 13:34-35

When we do this commandment then we are indeed Jesus' disciples. Not only to the brethren but also to our neighbor because good Christians are also good citizens.

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Rom 12:10

The problem of hatred, envy and jealosy in the Church and the world today will cease if we are to be brotherly kind one to another. The least that you do to any in the kingdom and others that you do unto Jesus Christ.

How charitable are you?

The world's problem is the Church's problem to help change and transform the society. We are to respond to the needs with a brotherly love as sheep among wolves. We have a duty to love the brethren and take this love to the world also.

And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: 1 Thess 3:12

When we fail to love our brother then we abide in death ourselves. Faith without brotherly kindness is dead and cannot be alive to change things.

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1 Jn 3:14

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 1 Jn 3:16

Beloved add and minister brotherly kindness to your faith and Let brotherly love continue. Heb 13:1
