Psalms 106:13 AMP But they hastily forgot His works; they did not [earnestly] wait for His plans [to develop] regarding them.

As Christians, we hear of God’s promises and we experience blessings along the way to those promises in the same way the Israelites did. Unfortunately, many times, we also forget about those blessings along the way (just like they did) and when we do, we grow weary of waiting. The Bible tells us that faith and patience bring about the promises of God (Hebrews 6:12). Patience is not always a joy ride -– but it is well worth the trip! Too many Christians turn back.

The Israelites were promised this land and they believed it was theirs until they encountered some trials along the way. Trials are there to prove our faith genuine or Spiritual. Spiritual faith presses on no matter what gets in the way! The lack of evidence regarding this land made them doubt God’s Word because their faith was not Spiritual. They began to reject the very thing God promised, just like many Christians today. For example, we refuse the promise of ruling and reigning in this life because living “one down under” has simply been our way of life. What promise are you rejecting?

Hebrews 10:32 AMP But be ever mindful of the days gone by in which, after you were first spiritually enlightened, you endured a great and painful struggle.

Don't be surprised when you face trials along the way to God’s promises. When these trials come your way be ready for them by staying in the Word! Keep your focus on the Word; do not focus on your circumstances! Spiritual faith focuses on the unseen, not the seen - and Spiritual faith can wait!
