DISHING UP

We as the Church of Christ are moving into a direction that can strengthen or divide us. We do not have to go very far to experience the signs to know this. Everywhere one go about in your daily life you see how many believers question the truth of God’s Word and then go on to follow the leader which interpret the Word of God what they want to hear.

 Then there is the group that stuck by the truth of God’s Word, no matter what they need to sacrifice or endure. They are questioning the validity of the actions and decision their church leaders are making to the consternation of the wider crowd and are therefore “stoned” with criticism and rejection.

 Paul wrote to the Corinthians:

“Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly-mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly.  For since there is jealousy and quarrelling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men? “1 Corinthians 3: 1-3

 The argument therefore is should we unite as the Church of Christ in the name of sin or should we stand up for the truth of God’s Word no matter the cost? The answer to this should be quite simple and honest, but unfortunately this is not the case.

 As the end of this age comes to a close there will be divisions among the Church of Christ: the group that chooses to submit themselves to any teaching that is good to hear according to their own desires and the other group, the Bride of Christ which chooses to obey the true Almighty God and His Word no matter the cost or sacrifice.

 Let us therefore be clear about one thing. God will not let us mock Him. So before the compromising group start to accuse the Bride of Christ of causing division and strive among the Body of Christ, they have to think again before making any accusations.

 For the day of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is near. You will either stand for Him or against Him. There is absolutely no golden highway out. And so according to the above, let it also be said that you shall bear the consequences of your choices you have made, in other words the choice of which group you followed.

 Let us therefore not bargain with satan and listen to every theory and lie that is dish up for us on paper plates. Let us discern what is true and wholesome food dished up on golden plates of truth and grace.

 For at the end we shall be judged accordingly to what we have chosen to put through our mouths. May Jesus Christ give His Bride the courage to keep on standing for the truth no matter the cost or sacrifice.
