A SUDDEN DAY OF CHANGE
Months or even years can come and go where you stay in your daily routine without even thinking about change, until suddenly an event takes place that swings your life altogether into a new direction. The not so fine aspect of it all is that change is always sudden.
One moment you are in your same old routine and the following moment you have to sift your whole mindset in order to adapt to new surroundings and new changes. For most of us this is a reality that faces every day with the economic and political climate that changes direction like the wind when one least aspect it.
For Peter and his fellow disciples in Acts 2 change soon became a reality for them as Jesus was being taken to heaven and now they are gathering in a room where they are all staying. Suddenly during prayer the Holy Spirit fell upon them looking like tongues of fire and came to rest on each one of them.
From that day on everything changes for them, one event and they can never be the same again. Peter the timid one became the rock of his fellow disciples as Jesus Christ predicted, so much so that he stood up when the Jews gathering outside their room did not understood what was going on, he addressed the crowd with authority , which resulted in about three thousand more converts.
His other disciples received so much power and authority from the baptism of the Holy Spirit that God used each one of them supernaturally in his or her way to impact thousands of generations to come after them. This account in scripture gives us account of our lives as it is in these last days.
We can be going through our same routine and only one event can change our direction of our lives forever. Good or bad (it dependents on how you see it.), the event forces us to adapt and change leaving our old lives behind.
Prophetically we must prepare ourselves spiritually for these changes. For as the days shift nearer to the coming of the Messiah the Bride of Christ will be prepared for His coming as well for the last harvest to come into His kingdom.
For several days now through His Spirit the Lord Jesus Christ asked me two questions constantly: Am I prepared and secondly do I trust Him?
Especially the last question hit me hard. Do I trust Him enough to sustain and give me the courage to go whatever direction He chooses me to walk? I truly do not know. Only the fulfilling of the direction shall clarify that for me in the time to come.
Not only is this true for me but for every true believer who is part of the Bride of Christ. Every one of us shall be shaken into our rightful positions and places where we should be as we are all to fulfill our tasks while we are further prepared for the coming of our Betrothed.
This shaking will not be easy. It shall shake us out of our old lives into new ones we had not yet foreseen nor ever comprehend we will ever be in. It is then that we should trust our Betrothed to be our Provider as well as our Rock in these times.
All that we can do in this situations when they are arise is hearing what the Messiah says through His Spirit and move in oneness in obedience towards Him. At the end to go into rebellion against the changing situation or refusing to obey will make the situation worse.
When we choose to obey everything that we will ever need will fall into place as well as the wisdom and knowledge in which direction we should follow. May you find the courage and power through the Holy Spirit to move into your destined direction when others refused to follow. May you experience supernatural peace and the hand of our Heavenly Father as you choose for Him and not against Him. And lastly may you find acceptance and forgiveness in your hearts for those who will persecute you as you walk in faithfulness and obedience in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen
