2 Timothy2:19,22 ; 3:1-5

1 Thessalonians 5:22

Amos 5:14-15

Titus 2:12

Galatians 5:13

Genesis 39

And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.

2 And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.

5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.

7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.

8 But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;

9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.

12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.

The title of the message connotes weakness and cowardice in the eyes of the physical man but looking at and studying the scripture above, the spiritual mind does a re-think about situations that can be overwhelming and oppressive with no way of escape.

The devil our numero uno enemy knows us individually in our spiritual nakedness and uses his best and most dangerous weapons to battle us to destruction if allowed in any way!

We all find ourselves in extremely tempting situations at one time or the other during our life’s journey, the best way-out is to flee from every APPEARANCE of evil rather than stand ‘fierce’ confronting the enemy that is likely to swallow you in a gulp.

The devil understood Eve’s weak point of innate egoism that was why he went-in-for-the-kill by using the power of suggestions to stimulate her LUST of the eyes and lunging for great intellect. We all are prone in one way or the other to falling into the same trap but in diverse ways  so, rather than wait to speak in tongues… FLEE!

Do not hang around toxic company, any location or group or person(s) that have led to your Physical or spiritual downfall in the past are a NO! NO!

For instance; if your weakness is not being able to view naked bodies without physically responding, then avoid whatever will put you in such a situation LIKE THE PLAGUE because it can be fatal to try testing your resistance rate in the field of battle

For some it is; anger/rage, envy, prejudice, evil-tongue, ego/self aggrandizement/pride, lust in every ramification, murderous heart, greed, etc.

Filling our thoughts daily with the word of God, being in the company of  and communicating with ‘genuine’ brethren and encouragers / avoiding unholy friendship, listening to audio and video ministrations and worship Jehovah for who He is, will occupy our thoughts and chase out any unclean ones.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil… Proverbs 3:5-7
