CHOICE AWARDS

When I was a little girl I wish I could become an adult so that I can make my own choices and can live a life of freedom. At that stage the responsibilities of adulthood did not yet dawn on me so it was easy for me to make a  wish I had not yet understood the complications of.

 Yet as I am into adulthood now (hopefully!), I can still relate to that little girl’s wishes years ago as I still grave the freedom adulthood brings.  We all do and unfortunately advertisements and media prey on that need of adults to be free to do whatever they want to have and do.

 Along the way of searching for this freedom, we forgot that our Heavenly Father already gave us a gift of freedom: Our will to choose.

 This gift is more valuable when all the freedom we can hope and aim for,for exercising our freedom of choice brings us into full bloom of all that God created us to be or what we become in the hands of the enemy when we choose to disobey God.  This principle is called the principle of blessing and curse.

 Therefore according to this principle there are consequences for every choice we make. Positive or negative. If we make positive choices we can be assured that we shall abide in blessing and in the reverse if we make negative choices we shall abide in the life of curse.

 This is the reason why there are so much pain in this world. Nine-Eight percent of the time it was not God that caused this kind of pain, it was the choices of humankind involved. Not even the enemy can take the blame 98% of the time.

 All what is happening is that we are reaping the consequences of our choices we make every day. We got to start taking responsibility for our choices we make for we have to realize our choices involves other people around us not just ourselves.

 The good news though is that if we make good choices every day that it is not only ourselves that benefit at the end of the day but others around us as well. In this way we make an impact not in this generation to come but in many other generations to follow.

 This positive impact of generations is the far most enriching reward anyone can ever receive. May the Lord help us through His Spirit so that we can make positive choices every day and in so doing impact many generations to follow.
