Continue in Prayer

Col 4:2
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

The word Continue is described as;
- To make last; to prolong.
- To retain in a given state, position
- To remain in a given place or condition;
- To remain in connection with;
- To abide; to stay.
- Carry on, go on with, keep, keep on, proceed with
- Resume

And as in prayer Apostle Paul admonishes to carry on or keep on and remain or stay in the prayer closest constantly with the flame of prayer burning.
Where you have stop or relaxed, he says resume and continue in prayer. Praise the Lord!

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Lk 18:1

Prayer is a relationship or a fellowship with Jesus Christ. And in every relationship there is dialogue or talking points. As you talk to Jesus, He is also talking to you by His Word in your heart.

Continue ...proskartereo..gk, means ...to be earnest towards, ....to persevere, ...be constantly diligent, ...attend continually, ...continue, ...wait on.

In other words Apostle Paul says be earnest towards prayer and persevere in it with Jesus. When you do not get an answer to the first or second or third prayer, hold on and hold out until you hear Jesus speak or receive answer.

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Rom 12:12

Prayer ...proseuche..gk, meaning ...pray earnestly, ...pray, itself must be earnest already and we are admonished to continue in the earnestness with much speed and constancy.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Eph 6:18

Many a Christian today want to say a prayer at specified periods which is good but prayer is not saying words but praying prayer. That is your heart must be in it. The closest in prayer is your heart and what the heart is saying in agreement with the unseen Word sitting on the throne.
Therefore prayer that builds up from the heart possesses the creative power of the Word of God. Prayer must be full and filled with the Word by meditating in it to dominate your heart and thought pattern and all your things that you do. With the Word our heart is made clean, clear and pure so that we can see God.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Jn 15:3
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Mt 5:8

Your prayer must be earnest and heartfelt to cause a dynamic change in the cause of nature or stop any satanic manipulation and manifestation with you and all your things.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Php 4:6

Beloved attend continually to our prayer of duty, communion and devotion with thanksgiving to God for seeing you through all the victories.

Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Th 5:17-18
