" Understanding Trust "
Trust is something; in which, I have found has different meanings to an individual. Whether it is the failure to understand either it's true meaning, or the magnitude of it's meaning.
When you say you trust someone, what does that mean? When you trust in something, what does that consist of? Every moment of your life you trust in something or someone. It may be in yourself; although, one day your body and mind may no longer be able to function. You rely on your jobs and financial security; even though, in a moment you can lose it all. Whether you like to or not you trust in someone; however, we all know that people can easily betray, and hurt us. But it doesn't stop you from trusting in either a friend, significant other, a doctor, a leader, and even your children or parents. The interesting thing about your trust is that there is no EVIDENCE that anything will happen. There is absolutely no guarantee that people are who they say they are. Yes their actions may say one thing, but their thoughts and intentions can be another. Lets' go a little further and talk about the earth you trust in to sustain life, and the air and water quality. You don't know when the world will end nor do you actually know how safe is the water and air you are consuming. However, it doesn't stop you from breathing or drinking. Lastly your future goals, dreams and plans are all in existence because you trust in them. Without EVIDENCE that they'll ever come to pass. There's not even EVIDENCE that you'll live to see tomorrow. Yet that doesn't stop you from dreaming and planning to achieve those goals. Are you understanding your trust now? This a short definition of trust as is defined in the Oxford Dictionary:
Trust
firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.
The meaning of my writing this is not to get you to live life not trusting in anything because everyone has trust. The purpose is for you to understand that you put your trust in something or someone every single day WITHOUT EVIDENCE that what you trust in is guaranteed to do what you expect it or them to do. Or that it will continue to meet your needs and demands; as well as, someone's devotion towards you to last and be true. Now that you have hopefully gained a better understanding of the trust you practice daily. I ask that you take it into consideration the next time you encounter a Christian that has put their trust in Jesus Christ and the Bible. Just as you have trust, we too have trust. The difference is that our trust as Christians does not depend on our capability, nor the capability of others. But it is in the capability of God who is the creator of life, sustainer of all things, who gives and takes according to His perfect will. We have plenty of EVIDENCE of the reliability of the Bible. Both Christian and non Christian scholars believe that the documents of the Bible are reliable. They may not believe what it says, but they believe it is a accurate historical finding. For centuries people have tried to destroy the Bible's reliability. Yet it still remains to fulfill what it written in it.

Whether it's through archeology, history, science, and the personal EVIDENCE of the what the Bible predicts will happens everyday in the life of those who believe. We who believe can testify to these things. The Bible also has undeniable fulfilled prophecies. Historical documentation from sources outside the Bible, and around the world through out history further confirm the fulfillment of these prophecies. Approximately 2500 prophecies appear in the pages of the Bible, about 2000 of which already have been fulfilled to the letter—no errors. It is our trust and faith we have in Jesus Christ and the Bible that gives us contentment. It is an unshakeable faith so whether we gain or lose we trust in him. When we live or die we will trust in him. Because we trust that he will last forever, and we will last forever with him.

In conclusion, I challenge you to investigate the reason for your trust in anyone or anything. Then locate and provide the EVIDENCE that they are and always will be reliable. It is easy for you to mock and laugh at the faith of a Christian. Yet, seldom do you look at the faith you have in either, science, yourself, friends, loved ones, etc. As a fighter against all religions, you fail to see you are an advocate for your own religion. Religion is simply a set of beliefs. Though yours may be void of the belief of God. It is governed by the belief in man. I hope this has provoked your thoughts and presented a thorough understanding of the trust you and I posses. But most important I pray it leads you to further examine the existence of God.
In Christ,
Crystal Diaz
