"Man of Sorrows" By: Crystal Diaz
He was despised by men and delivered into their hands and they stared in his eyes screaming crucxify him. Yet you complain because you want to be admired, and noticed by men. He was rejected by men from the moment of his conception for who would believe the story of a virgin coming back to town pregnant, without her husband ever being present. But you strive to be excepted while dreading that fear of feeling rejected, have you forgotten that with Christ you’re already excepted. He was a man of sorrows acquainted with grief yet so easily you sit and wallow in misery somehow wanting to free of the burden of your beliefs because it’s causing you to care for the things unseen. He was wounded for our transgressions, still you haven’t learned the lesson, It’s not just a confession or a profession it’s a progression towards the one who is all omnipresent. He was bruised for our iniquities and you sit there in disbelief thinking that following Christ is a life of comfort, and worldly prosperity. Saying follow me as I follow Christ although you've only recieved his word by the way side. Proclaiming your faith in the good times, saying God is so good to me look at me I'm livng so happy and free. Yet in the face of adversities brought on by trials and sufferings the first thought in your mind is God how could you let this happen to me? Failing to realize God is reconstructing you, and out of the storm your dependency on him will be strengthened and renewed.
Beloved, because Christ was bruised for our iniquities he allowed us into his glory for eternity. So why do you believe your life is suppose to be easier than his?
Only praying " Lord, bless me, shield me, show me favor, protect me, yet never wanting to get your hands and feet dirty. Never stepping out of your comfort zone; eventhough you were called to step into the danger zone. The very zone that you once knew when someone came and shared the good news with you. For the harvest is plentiful and the laborers are few, but what is it to you, your to busy trying to be Christian cool. Social media sites, glamorious mirror shots, hashtag selfies screaming look at me when it's suppose to be He must increase and I must decrease. Lest we forget that Christ is the king of kings.
When God saw the world and the condition of our hearts he knew there was nothing that we could do to be right in his sight. So he sent his only begotten son into world to make things right. But first their was a price to pay Christ became a servant slave to our shame and to our pain. Thinking about you during his pain, knowing in your heart you would have him to stay. He paid the price we couldn't pay. So the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and he took on the punishment that was suppose to be for you and me. But I know many of you are not trying to hear me because all you wanna do is live comfortable and conviction free. Even though by his stripes we are healed and lead into glory and victory, those 39 stripes he received from lashes on his back and sides, realize this was agreed to be part of the plan to save you and me. But like sheep we have all gone astray and turned from the Lord looking to the things of the world to satisfy our hearts desires, wanting to be pleased and admired never caring of the one who's ways are higher. Yet the Lord laid on him the iniquity of us all. Iniquity a grossly immoral act of sin, wickedness, and injustice yet he never committed any of these things. But as for you and me who lived so wickedly, sexually, verbally, physically, and mentally we were given a gift freely that extends into eternity by the son of man who gave his father glory.
You were a sinner turned saint by blood of his grace reminded that on the death bed Christ took your place. He took the lethal injection for you, swallowed the bottle of pills for you, took the bullet for you, took the bleeding on the wrist for you, and hung to his death so you wouldn’t have to. And all he asks is that you, love above all, preach the word, and always be willing and ready to serve. Although many of you feel there's so much more you deserve.
He was oppressed and afflicted yet he never opened his mouth. He never cried out, he never yelled stop, he never said it hurts, he never said I quit but I can guess for sure that everyone single one of us did. Crying out to him, God please I can't take anymore, God please I'm tired of the hurt, God where are you, forget it I quit.
It should be easier to see how much different the scenario would have been if the sacrificial lamb were you or me. Jesus Christ was the only one who walked the earth that was perfect. He took on such torture though he never deserved it, and in the face of death his complaints never surfaced. You said that you’d follow him and mimic his life, Well not only are we called to believe unto him, but also to suffer for him. He did all this for you to set you free by the truth, and live forever knowing that God loves you. So I ask you again why do you think your life is suppose to be easier than his?
