O' flowers of youth hold up your stems
let God shower down on thee
Don't give no place, or any space
but claim what you want to be
For God is the one who waters his flowers
He planted each one for him to keep
And he knows when they will come up
for he made them strong and deep
Now though he made the sun that shines
He will cover you in the shade
And the grass that grows won't over take you
because even them his hands had made
Yes, they too have it's purpose
but still they don't have the say
In how much growth you can obtain
for what God does is here to stay
Not even thickets can grow around your stems
He'll keep them pruned night and day
and no feet's can trample or crush you out
His power I'd keep you in every way
For if left up to others you wouldn't come through
your flower bed wouldn't flourish and rise
But God saw fit to keep you safe
for you are beautiful in his eyes
So let clouds hang over your trails of hope
you cup the rain drops in each hand
God works in, and through, the impossible
and He's able to help you to stand
So though you started off as a little bud
there will come a time when to bloom
Meanwhile be patient and count it all joy
that with God your staying in tune
So who are you! The question does ask ?
Who can stop, what you want to be
for though winds blow, you still can know
In what God Holds for thee
O' flowers of youth, believe you are precious
and keep this in your mind
That flowers are watered by God above
and what is for you' will be on time
