Remaining Faithful

‘I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.’ Romans 8:18 RSV These past months have been a season of testing to our walk by faith within our family, as one of our daughters-in-law was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Being almost full term with the pregnancy of their second son, the doctors brought grandson Ethan into the world a little sooner than expected. Yes, he’s doing well and growing by leaps and bounds. After six weeks of daily radiation treatments our daughter-in-law has gained her strength back, thankful not feeling sick and so tired from those daily visits to the hospital. Doctors will determine in the coming weeks how much the tumor has shrunk. A high school teacher, she is determined to want to start school again this coming September. Our prayer is for our Lord to honor her wish along with removing the cancer. Challenged in our faith walk, through a need for physical healing and strength for a loved one, we’re to remain steadfast to our Lord’s promise to hear our every concern. We have calm assurance that with all the challenges before us; His glory will be revealed to us. The power of God’s presence is there to comfort and draw us closer to himself. His desire for us is to continually reach up and through faith, put our hand in His. This incident has touched the hearts of so many within our home and church fellowship, to reach out all the more to seek His omnipotence and ‘Amazing Grace.’ Thank you Father, for what you are doing bringing us each closer to yourself.
