Psalms 119:30 (NIV)


Do not try to defeat truth. You will never win. What those who engage truth attempt to do by judging it irrelevant, even relative followed by victory over it do so prematurely and at great risk. Truth will never fall dead along the highways and byways. For what appears to be its dead remains is only its beaten and abused form that rises no matter how many times evil attempts its demise. Each time, truth comes again and again, as straight, strong and unconquerable as ever. Intelligence, such as it is, tries to bury it with logic, hyperbole, and reason but it has inherent resurrection powers and will rise again more reliant than before.

Truth, at times, bites hard causing blood to flow, wounds to appear, and feelings hurt. But in the end, the truth heals leaving an indelible mark to be remembered and, for the wise, to cherish. So, stand up and align yourself with truth for truth’s sake. And, by the way, for your sake! For never has a human ever conquered her!


Prayer:

Almighty Father, lead me towards truth no matter the cost. Confirm truth to me wherever I see it or hear it. Teach me, Father, to look for truth, to know it and speak and advocate for it. This I pray in the Name of My Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
