My testimony

When I was diagnosed with schizoaffective, I felt a cold chill come in and settle within me. Fear filled my whole being and I asked the doctor what that translated to. Would I ever be able to work, i asked the doctor, still in a state of shock. I had always trusted Jesus, so someone telling me I had such a baffling illness did not make much sense to me.
My life had always been really difficult and I always believed that I would figure out exactly what was wrong and sort out my issues. So a diagnosis of mental illness seemed far fetched.
i took medicine for a short time and then stopped. when the symptoms came back, they were totally different from what I initially had, and I did not recognize the problems as mental illness. For five years I remained with symptoms, receiving no treatment and really suffering. Through it all, I really sought for God and prayed to him. after five years when I realised that I had been sick, I returned to medicine and believed God for my healing. I repeated scripture everyday and believed the promises of God in the bible.

God healed and delievered me from schizoaffective disorder. He restored me emotionally and mentally, and now I can do all those things I would be able to do before the onset of illness. My mind had become slow and I was very forgetful, but God delievered me from this and healed me.

He gave me a forgiving spirit and now I am able to forgive everyone even those who hurt me when I was sick.

I had a problem with relationships and he healed me and solved problems that were in the family front. Hate filled family members became kind and loving. He put me in a loving relationship with a godly man. Before that I would experience negative things in relationships. now I experience love and acceptance.

I needed christian teachings and whenever I would only hear the prosperity gospel. Christian books to read were expensive for me. i asked God for nice books with nice biblical teachings. He led me to a nice online church where there are video, audio and in print teachings and bible study.
i was having problems with employment and i would get poorly payiing jobs which did not last. Now he has opened up opportunities to make a very comfortable living.

He has taken away my sackcloth and clothed me with joy that I may praise Him and not be silent. I no longer is oppressed by a spirit of heaviness.

I have delighted myself in the Lord and I have realised that He has given me the desires of my heart. Now i know that indeed God is Love and nothing is impossible to him.
