Have you ever wondered why God created human beings? God wanted someone to have an intimate relationship with Him. The main objective behind human creation was to fulfill that purpose, a group of people who can fellowship with God, hear His voice, talk to Him personally and live a life for His glory.
So when you think of yourself, think this way. The first man Adam was created in the image and likeness of God. The last man Jesus is the image of the invisible God. If we bear His image, we should also bear His nature. This is what God desires from each one of us. To reflect His good nature to people around us, so that through us, they can glorify God.
But since Adam and Eve violated the rule of God, we, their descendants have lost our touch with God. Through them, the nature of sinfulness has entered into every human kind. But God wanted to bring mankind back to Him, He could never ever think of forsaking man whom he formed with His own hands.
So God planned to send Jesus Christ, His Son, to save the lost mankind. For that He needed to build a nation through which Jesus can incarnate in flesh. So He chose a man named Abraham. In the genealogy of Abraham was born our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (the Messiah).
Jesus Christ lived in this world, an innocent, perfect and holy life. He chose 12 people as apostles who would be carrying the gospel of love to the nations. After demonstrating to people how a person ought to live and teaching the multitudes many spiritual things, Jesus offered Himself as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. He is signified as the Lamb of God, or our Passover Lamb who bore our sins on the cross and was brutally punished in our place.
After Jesus shed His blood for us and died physically, on the third day, he rose from the dead with a glorious body. He appeared to Mary Magdalene first and then to the twelve and after some days ascended to heaven. Now He is interceding to the Father on our behalf. Yes, we have a strong hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
If you have not received Jesus Christ into your hearts, pray in your own words to receive salvation and eternal life. But if you are not sure how to pray, here is a sample prayer. But understand that God does not check your vocal skills, He examines your heart.
PRAYER: Loving Lord Jesus! I thank you for loving me, a sinner. I am really sorry for all the sins that I have committed. I know and I believe that you came into this world and died for my sins and rose up on the third day. Please come into my heart and into my life. Please be my Master and Lord from now on. Give me the grace I need to live an obedient life before you. Help me to read the Bible and do all that it says. Help me to be your witness in this broken world. I gratefully thank you for hearing my prayer. In Your Mightiest Name, I pray, Amen.
If you have prayed this prayer with genuine faith, know that Christ is now dwelling in your heart. He has given you His peace. You now have the grace to glorify God through the way you live. Start fellowshipping with the Lord, find a local church where you can actively worship the Lord in truth and in spirit. Read the Bible and other Christian books. Listen to God’s messages through His servants which you can find on TV, internet and other media. May God bless you!
