No Greater Love (John 15:13)

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s for his friends. ”

This Easter week is a good time to focus on the Agape love of Jesus, which is greater than any love we could ever know. Agape is God’s unconditional, sacrificial love, which voluntarily suffers inconvenience or pain for the benefit of another, with no thought of reward. Agape is not a feeling but a motivation for action which we are free to choose or reject. When Jesus offered Himself to God as an all sufficient sacrifice for all people and all time, He paid the ultimate price. He made the final sacrifice.

As Jesus said to His disciples, He says to you and me today: “No more do I call you servants, precious ones. You are My dear friends. I love to spend time with you. I love to teach you what the Father shows Me, and reveal to you the mysteries of the deep. I have loved you eternally, and that is why I gave My life for you. With My blood I have bought your freedom, your healing, your salvation. I have broken every dark plan of the enemy and stripped him of his power. I have opened the way for you to live in peace, in joy, in victory when I laid down My life for you. It was for you that I stayed silent when I was mocked and tormented. It was to spare you the punishment that I took those stripes upon My back. My agony was for your freedom, your healing, your salvation. I gave up every right so that you could step into the fullness of yours. You are a son. You are a daughter. You are a joint inheritor with Me of everything the Father has!

There is no greater Love, dear one, and no greater joy than to freely give My All for you. Before the foundations of the world, I Am the Lamb that was slain. This greater love always was and always will be. There was never any sin My love did not pay the price for, and no sickness My love has not already healed. There is power and victory in My Agape sacrifice and nothing can hinder you receiving but you! Some of My children keep trying to pay the price I already paid and to bear the stripes I bore. If you could just receive this costly gift, you would see you cannot do anything more. It has all been done and sealed in heaven, my timeless love sacrifice, potent for all eternity. There is no greater love than Mine, My child, no greater price to pay. My blood which was poured out on the earth that day still lives in heaven today.

Precious one, your face was before Me the day those ugly nails held me on the cross, but you have always been within My heart. I always knew you. I always loved you, and from before the beginning of time you were always chosen to be Mine. There is no good thing I would ever hold back from you My child, nothing you could desire which is not possible in Me. Now receive My love, receive My gift. Stop trying to do it all over again! There is nothing further to add My child. It was finished that day at Calvary!”

Dear friend, Jesus proved His love for you when He laid down His life. He paid the highest price that anyone could pay. There is no greater love! Whatever you are trying to overcome in your life right now, Jesus already won the victory. There is nothing you should be anxious about because “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” There is hope for you and me today because Jesus paid the final price. He declared the battle was “finished”. So no more haggling with the devil, and no more struggle with sin. The deal was sealed eternally. It has all been done and we experience the power when we receive it from within. This Easter week, remember that Jesus loves you more than anyone ever could. You are already His because He paid an eternal price for you! You are not alone or abandoned in this world dear friend. You belong to Jesus and His blood has set you free. Start to love yourself because He loves and cherishes you and paid the highest price. He laid down His life for you, His friend!
