When In Search Of Fault
© 2015

by

Stephen A. Peterson

…For in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself, for you who judge practice the same things.

Roman 2:1 (NIV)

A buzzard will fly for miles to locate the rancid remains of a dead animal or human regardless of its condition.

In like manner, those searching to find fault in others we do not like or disagree with often fly through the lives of others in search of a fault. Such persons develop this capacity to cover their own failures. Their wandering eyes and dysfunctional brains have warped views. Their satisfaction comes from assailment and the sufferings of others.

Those who search for the faults of others is never a favorite of other people. He/she is not appreciated. No statue is ever built or erected to such a person. The world knows who they are and their inability to assess others and that it is a reflection of their own state, that they have a fist made to harm, crush or destroy others rather than a helping hand. Some learn that humanity is better served if the fault finder change their ways replacing such a life to become a model rather than mean.

Prayer:

Almighty Father, help me never to find fault with family members, friends or neighbors until I have walked their paths in their shoes, suffered their pain, experienced their hunger and know their sorrows. Father teach me to be merciful, patience and forgiving. There things I pray. Amen.
