Do you feel like you are in a time of your life where you may be lost? Or God is not paying attention to you? Or he is punishing you? When I am in a time of despair I look into the Bible. There are many stories that display how God pulls one in from a time of torture. Not to mention, all of the New Testament with Jesus being our true example of believing God loves us. Therefore, I don’t believe God makes life difficult for us on purpose. I believe he temporarily lets us go so we come back to him with more love and faith. I believe when he lets us go he craves to chase and find us to show how much he loves us. In Hosea, the King’s wife had become an unfaithful wife and the relationship seemed to be broken. This could be you and your relationship with God. But the Lord followed the unfaithful wife and took everything away from her. “ When she runs after her lovers, she won’t be able to catch them. She will search for them but not find them. Then she will think, I might as will go back to my husband for I was better off with him than I am now. She doesn’t realize it was I who gave everything she has” Hosea 2:6-8. Then the Lord says, “But then I will win her back once again. I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her there” Hosea 2:14 The wife went back to the King and explained to him what the Lord has done for her. The Lord told the King to let your wife come back and forgive her. The King told his people what had happen to his wife. In the same way, this will show the King’s people the Lord will forgive and always love even when those worship and look for other things. With that, the next time you are feeling like your world is crashing down it could be God reaching out to you. He wants to lead you to a quiet place where it is just you and Him. Then he will speak to you gracefully with comfort words. Your relationship with God will be restored once again because he never wants to lose you.
