May The Father Be Glorified (John 15:8 & 9)

“By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.”

Jesus loves to see good fruit in His disciples. When He looked for figs and found only leaves on the fig tree, he was disappointed and disturbed. When our lives manifest Kingdom fruit, the name of the Lord is glorified. Today’s message is a Word from our Father who is calling us into a season of fruit bearing. You may have struggled with fruitlessness in many aspects of your life, but the Lord is turning things around for you today. He is bringing you into your season and into the fulfillment of His purposes for you. His name will be exalted and glorified as He sets you up for your upgrade!

A productive life is one of the signs of true discipleship and yet another wonderful manifestation of the Father’s love. Jesus told His disciples here that they were to bear “much fruit” because that is His will and His desire for our lives. “Fruit” is the evidence of the new covenant life in Jesus. It is the joy of a life of answered prayers, and a natural outflow of what is bubbling up from within (James 3:12 and Matthew 6:17 & 18). When the Israelite spies went to scout out the promised land, (Numbers 13:23) they saw and brought back a bunch of fruit which was so huge that it had to be carried by 2 men! This was the abundance that God prepared for Israel, and He does the same for you and me today.

Friend, God wants us walking in His fruitfulness, but to change our harvest, we have to change how we think and change what we do. Many people struggle to achieve success because they have not seen that our loving Father wants the best for His kids and that He wants to see us walking in the fullness of His generous desires for us. Abba wants the world to see something different in us. He wants His light and His powerful presence to be manifested in every aspect of our lives, a day to day expression of our abiding in Him and enjoying complete communion with Him. There is no father who does not desire to see his children doing well and heading for the top, and our Dad is no different. When we see and believe that He wants us blessed, this is the first step towards walking in all the goodness that has already been declared for us, His much loved children!

The second step towards a different harvest is that we need to sow different seed. Fruitfulness comes from a life of constant sowing, not only into the Kingdom, but also into the lives of others, not only seeds of finances but also of love, joy, prayer, time, encouragement, etc, which take root in the supernatural realm and bring forth great fruit in our own lives.

Finally, fruitfulness comes from receiving and living in the Father’s love. Jesus said “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.” His love makes all things new. His love shines a light into everything we are. His love brings a Father’s blessing into our lives which brings forth supernatural fruit! Most of us can freely say that we love the Father, Jesus or Holy Spirit, but it is not as easy for some of us to freely say “I receive Your love” into my life today. There is a mighty protective and productive covering that comes from the Father’s love which keeps the devourer at bay and brings supernatural fruitfulness into every life. Receive Abba’s tender love; abide in it!

In the mighty name of Jesus, I break the spirit of barrenness off your life and work today. I call forth the protection and fruitfulness that comes from abiding in the Father’s love. Confess that you believe He wants to see you prosper. Believe that He wants you blessed!

Dear friend, there is a season of supernatural fruitfulness opening up for you even as you read and agree with this Word. People in the old covenant were taught that there was a specific time for fruit (Ecclesiastes 3:2) and of course, this remains the case in the natural realm because there is always seed, time, and harvest. However, for the new covenant disciples of Jesus abiding in His love, the Holy Spirit opens up the possibility of supernatural fruitfulness in all things. He wants to be your all in all. He wants to fill your life with joy and peace. He wants you walking in the dimension of supernatural fruitfulness and accelerated harvests. He wants you abiding in the fullness of the Father’s love, and the more you have of Him in you, the more you will see the reality of His heavenly abundance manifested through your life for the world to see! (Matthew 5:16). Be blessed and step into your season and may the name of the Lord be glorified. He has so much in store for you!
