Time , not Size

Time, not size.

The size of a thing might not be significant in the short run, but in the long run every size matters.

Try holding a piece of paper on an outstretched hand. In the first few minutes, it wouldn't seem difficult and you'd think you could hold it in that position all day. Hold it for an hour or more and you'd begin to feel discomfort and a little longer you'd struggle to keep up. The paper is still the same, both in size and weight, so why suddenly has what appeared very easy at the beginning now very difficult. Why is something that didn't require much energy now exhausting?

Conversely, try lifting a 50kg bag. Though it appears daunting at first but once you lift it and set it down almost immediately, it doesn't seem as daunting as you had imagined it would be. Lift the bag and carry it for a few minutes(or hours for the macho folks) and you'd not only struggle but you'd either drop it or collapse on the floor with it.

Why?

Time is the difference.Time makes simple things difficult and difficult things simple.

Same applies to worrying. It doesn't matter how little or insignificant the subject is, when you worry about it for long it leaves you exhausted. And even a very big problem can be dealt with easily if we only ponder on it momentarily(enough to figure out what needs to be done), do what can be done at the time, move on and not carry it on our mind.

When next you're tempted to worry about anything thing remember it's not the size that matters but how long you dwell on it.
