Family
From the hospital, Angie called the Millers and told them what happened. The Millers rushed over to the hospital as fast as they could. When they got there, Charles was propped up in bed with bandages on his face and wrists. Angie sat beside him on the bed, holding his hand, and Jeremiah sat on his father's lap. Tyrone, Keisha, and LaToya hugged Charles around the neck and told him how sorry they were about what happened to him.
"Thanks, guys," Charles said. "I'll be all right. My ribs are awfully sore, but I'll be good as new in no time. The doctor says I just need to rest and take it easy when I get home."
"Why would anyone break into your home?" Keisha asked.
Angie shrugged. "We don't even know who he is or what he looked like. Charles just told us he was wearing a black mask that covered his whole face except for his eyes, and he was all dressed in black." Tears came to her eyes. "And I know that he could have killed my husband."
"Come here, baby," Charles said. "Come put your head on my shoulder." When Angie did so, Charles said, "It's all right. I'm all right. If I had to do it all over, I would still have gone after that guy to protect my family."
"I just don't get it," LaToya said. "What kind of creep would do such a thing? Did you guys call the police?"
"Our neighbors said they would," Charles told them.
"I sure hope they get him!" Tyrone exclaimed.
The Williamses and the Millers all prayed that Jesus would heal Charles quickly and help the police to find the burglar soon. After they spent more time visiting with the Williams family, the Millers went home. When they got there, they saw that one of their windows had been pried open! Alarmed, they went into their house through the front door. Tyrone commanded Keisha and LaToya to hide in a closet while he looked around downstairs to see if anyone was down there. When he couldn't find anyone, he went upstairs and started looking in rooms. When he heard a sound in the master bedroom, he went into the bedroom. He didn't see anyone right away, but he kept listening for more sound while grabbing his gun from under the bed. When he had grabbed the gun, he stood up and saw the man in the black outfit and mask in the master walk-in closet! He aimed right at the man and fired, causing the man to fall onto the floor, blood pouring from his body. When Tyrone bent down and pulled the mask off of the man, he was shocked. It was the same man who had killed Ty!
