The Power of Hope.

Hope is Life.

Without Hope, Life will not only be miserable but also it would be meaningless. There would be no living without Hope only an existing.

The entire christian faith and belief is hinged on only one thing - the hope of an eternal life.

John 3:16 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

From the very beginning of human life to its mortal end Hope is the anchor that holds us firmly and keeps us moving forward in spite of circumstances.

We may despair, stop loving, be discouraged, fear, worry, become anxious, unsure, disappointed, and even at times be in doubt and confused but the only reason we keep moving on is because of Hope. Even when Faith becomes weary and running turns to limping it is Hope that encourages it and helps it to trudge on regardless.

Hope is the gift of God to all mankind to help with life's journey hence everyone(believer in God or not) has Hope in them. Conversely Faith is our reciprocal gift to God in acknowledgement and appreciation of His existence hence not everyone has Faith(in God).

Hope is power.

Hope is the thing that makes one indefatigable and undefeatable regardless of circumstances.

Hope is the last thing to expire in every person. Once it is gone life ceases.This is why some people take their own lives, because they had lost hope.

Christianity(not the religion but the relationship with God through Christ) starts with Faith based on Hope and it ends with Hope based on Faith.

Let me explain.

It starts with an expression of faith which is hinged on the hope of eternal life. It ends in the hope(or expectation) of the attainment of that eternal life which is now hinged on the faith in God we initially expressed.

As this world gradually but steadily comes to its end it is very important to revive Hope once again.

This world isn't going to end quietly and uneventfully.

2 Timothy 3:1 KJV
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
Matthew 24:21 KJV
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

The end of the world is often referred to as the Apocalypse - a term that resonates with undiluted chaos and great calamity!
Mention apocalypse and the first reaction amongst many is one of fear. Probably most people are familiar with terms like 'Armageddon', 666, the antichrist and the Beast but how many are seriously contemplating these events?

It doesn't have to be a doomsday.

Without Hope it definitely is going to be DOOMSDAY but with Hope it will be the climax of a lifelong expectation.

As a soldier preparing for a war cleans,checks out and certifies their weaponry in readiness so are we supposed to be polishing up our Hope.

Hope is our last weapon of resort when every other weapon is expended or even malfunctions.

The promises of God in the bible are the nourishment on which our Hope as christians thrive. Get your bible out and begin to dutifully feed your hope. You'll need a very strong Hope in the end.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord .

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord , He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

No slacking buddy, giddy you up! We're almost there. Lean on me and you lean on that other fellow, piggy back one another, we're marching on regardless and we don't surrender. Everybody goes home!!!
