The Darkest Hour

Where are your friends in the darkest hour? Those whom you thought would be with you through the ups and downs of life? Those whom you thought would never abandon you when times are dark and gloomy?

Although friends may leave you alone in your darkest hour, you are not alone for God is with you, and if God is with you, it doesn’t matter who have left you. Let not friends who have left your side, cause you to tremble or have wavering faith. Instead let your trust in God be even stronger with the assurance that no matter how bad it is, God is your friend, and He will see you through.

Commit yourself into the hands of a living God who will walk with you through the valley of the shadow of death, with His rod and staff comforting you on all sides (Psalms 23:4).

And if by chance your friends should return when light has come, well, that's alright. Now you know what you didn't know before – to put your trust in no man, for your life is not in their hands, but in the hands of the man who can still the waters.
