Abide In Me (John 15:4)

“Abide in Me and I in you.” (NKJV)

When I called you into relationship with Me, I called you into Covenant. What I had in My heart was 24/7 fellowship, and sweet intimacy. I want to be deep in the heart of you, just as I want to draw you deep into Me. Abiding is all about us being One, our hearts intertwined, your spirit in communion with Mine. Is there any place you could go to where I would not be? Any darkness you could hide in, through which I cannot see? When you were formed within your mother’s womb, I was with you, numbering your days before any of them had come to be. (Psalm 139:7-16 ). That is what I mean when I say “Abide in Me” – Me in you and you in Me for all eternity. Many of My sons and daughters are crying out for Me to come to them, but I am already there – I am living in you. You are asking for a visitation when I already made you My habitation. I am abiding in you and I have no plans to leave!

The day you pledged your love to Me, you received My eternal pledge of love for you. I never make promises I do not mean, and I promised to always be with you. I am in you, I am with you, I am upon you. If you could see the truth in this, you would never be defeated or discouraged. If you could feel Me near you, within you, around you, you would always be strong and filled with life. You would never believe the lies of the enemy or give in to fear. Just let yourself get caught up in this endless love, this dance of divine destiny.

When you invited me into your life, I came to abide in you forever, but now I am calling you into a deeper abiding in Me. How can you do this? By resting in My presence through worship and thanksgiving; by living in My Word and letting it fill you with faith and the reality of who I am; by partaking often of Me through the Communion; by walking in My love and staying in accord with My Body, the church. Let yourself become so conscious of Me that I will be your ever present reality, and bigger in your eyes than anything or anyone else. Forget yourself and just focus on Me; then you will truly begin to see! I want to open your eyes and fill you with My light. I want you to forget some of the things you have been taught about Me and to know that My intentions towards you are always good and always for your progress, increase, growth and prosperity.

My precious child, stop worrying and being anxious about things that are happening in your life. If you are abiding in Me, then all your circumstances are also in Me. I am taking care of it. I always work everything around to be for your good, so take heart, and trust in Me. Your seasons are changing and you are stepping into your destiny; but stay sure of one thing: I am always in you, as You are in Me. Forget the enemy; he cannot touch you when you are abiding in Me!

The Lord is preparing you for greater things, dear friend. He has an upgrade in store for you, and this is only possible when you step forward in faith knowing without any doubt that your Beloved is yours and you are His, and that you are filled with and abiding in Him. In Old Testament times, people sought to abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1) but today, Jesus calls us to abide in Him as He abides in us. We get to enjoy living in His presence when He makes us His holy habitation!

I pray that this will be the start of a whole new season for you, a season of abiding in the presence of the Lord and sensing His presence abiding in you. May it be a season of victory and peace, and higher ground in the power of the Holy Spirit because of the reality of God in you and you in Him. “Abide in Me and I in you”.
