Realize And Respect The Presence of God

When God said to "walk upright before me," it wasn't a hard request, it wasn't something that could not be comprehended. It was a simple intellectual request, that even a child can understand. 

To "walk upright" before God is to simply live a "righteous life" in the sight of a Holy God, according to the principles set forth in His word - "Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous" (I John 3:7).

It is to actively and continually live and behave, with the realization that you are always in His presence, even as you read this article. It is to be conscious that His eyes are always on you, watching everything you do - "Where shall I go from your spirit? or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, you are there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there" (Psalms 139:7-8). Just the thought alone that God sees all, and "you too," should be reason enough for you to be careful as to how you live and behave in His presence.

Get rid of the filth you are holding on to, that is hindering you from living as God requires. Live life in such a way that will bring honor to God, which can only be done as you continue to dwell in His Son Jesus - a simple request that can be honored with the help of Christ, and with every effort you put forth, because of your Love for God.

“And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God, walk before me, and be perfect." (Genesis 17:1)
