AT DADDY’S FEET

When I am weak and weary
And my tears flow like rivers
I go to the only place I know
Where I am loved
Where I am free

I sit down at my Daddy’s feet
I drink in His love, His peace
His glory overshadows all fear and doubt
As I heard:
“You are mine.”

He holds my hand while
Holding me on His lap
His tender hand caresses
my back, holding me close

Without a word He calms my heart
And I know I will be all right
I am not alone
I am His, I am loved


BREVITY OF LIFE

We seek wisdom and knowledge
We bring life and takes life
But we forget to laugh and cry
So the joy of life speed as by

We search for answers in science
We worry about our achievements
But we run around in circles
So the love of others pass as by

We make money and work for gold
The stockmarkets rule our world
But we are stuck in agony
So the meaning of our lives are lost in irony

So we die alone
With no one but regret
All turn to dust
And so the brevity of life
Makes everything else seem to be like rust


FIRE


When you walk into fire
Without a cause or reason
Know that you shall not be burnt
Rejoice for God is with you


When you are refined by fire
To be pure as gold
Know that you shall not be scorched
Rejoice for God is making you His

FORBIDDEN TREASURES

A master plan took shape
In the camp of the enemy
To destroy God’s kingdom
And its people He loved the most

All strategies were considered
But none were to be found suitable
Until it is remembered of
How desire and passion can lead the hearts of people astray

So an evil plan is devised
To bring God’s children to a fall
All things earth created turned into a trap
If God’s people are not careful will cause demise
