SAVE HAVENS AND SHELTERS

There is always much appeal in something or someone that signifies
the idea of solidity. That special characteristic that shines in
that specific moment in history when the world around us reside
in chaos.

The appealing subject can be a dog, a cat or even just your normal
everyday person that perseveres through difficult circumstances
to claim victory in the battle of defeat. No matter the subject
the human spirit always thirsts for such remarkable accounts
of victory in which we can find our solidness when our world is
crumbling around us.

For our human hearts it is a way with coping with our grief,pain
and fear.In not so many words,(even when we do not want to admit
it), it become our safe haven where it seems nothing can ever touch us.

Yet we can only hide for so long. When we cannot hide any longer
we seek for our next "fix" of appealing subjects. It is a never
ending cycle that never stops unless you put your trust on a
more solid foundation.

For some it is religion,for others their family and friends or
the solidness of pure hard work that cause them to forget their
pained memories.

The trouble is that even the above are based on the shifting
sands of changing history when it is not integrated into an
Identity that remain unchanged through time.

Things of this earth can only bring happiness for so long. When
it cannot satisfy us anymore our search leave us disappointed never to seek again.

Jesus Christ on the other hand is called the foundation on which
all things stands. The earthly as well as the heavenly, At the
end of the day when everything else failed He becomes our safe
haven and our shelter.

It is then that we realize that our relationship with Him alone
is the only solidity in our lives that will not ever fail us.

In Him we have strength to go on. In Him all our needs are
provided for. In Him we stand when the world falls apart around
us.

In so much said do not take my word for it. Ask any disciple of Jesus Christ and he or she will have their own story to tell.
