Nana, I just broke your lovely cup and saucer,
thumped my little brother Tom and bruised his chin.
Mum had phoned and told me she's your favourite daughter,
'twas then when little Tom had butted in!

Nana, don't you see that I am growing taller?
Feel this muscle, here, inside my arm!
Nana, stop it now because he hears your laughter,
young Tommy knows a way to do me harm!

Nana, look! I went and spent my pocket money.
I treated all my friends to fish 'n chips.
Then as we cycled home, I got a call, as Tommy
had somehow found himself inside a ditch!

Nana can I sleep over again, 'til morning?
I don't want to keep troubling my Mum.
Nana, can you cook your bestest meal, I'm starving!
And happy Mum is looking after Tom.

I love you, Nana, love you, Grandad, how you spoil me,
I love the way you tell my Mum I'm good!
When I get home I'm going to find young Tom is boiling
and hoping he still feels misunderstood!
