You don’t have enough reason to doubt but you have more than enough reason to believe. Some people don’t just want to believe, they see it as risk to believe, but you will risk more doubting. Don’t be afraid of having faith in the word of God rather you should be afraid of living in unbelief. The trouble is when you don’t live by faith in God’s word because you were born to live by faith and not by sight or by your feelings.
Christianity is a practical life, you’ve got to believe God’s word, let it be so real that nothing else matters more. Some people think that believing the word of God is to take risk, so they are afraid of believing because they think it might fail them, and they will still be the one to proclaim that God never fails but still afraid to trust his word. If you must be victorious, you better stop giving theories and start practicing the word of God like you practice what you learn in the school. You know, in the school there is a lab where you can practice the theories given to you, there is always a time for theory and a time for practice, that’s how it is with the word of God. It was actually given to you to practice, now is the time to start doing the word not in heaven. This is one reason why you are in the world today, the world here is the place where the word of God is practicable; you can only practice the word of God here on earth not in heaven, that’s why you have the word of God, so you can live by it in this world because that’s the only way you can live a supernatural life here in this world, a life of divinity; the transcendent, victorious life in this world full of terrible things.
Let’s study the experience of peter in the sea for a moment.
“And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou; bid me come unto thee on the water.
And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.”

Did you see what happened here? Let me show you something more in some of these verses. Peter wanted to walk on the water so he knew it will take the word of the lord to carry him in the water that’s why he said, “…Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water”. He demanded for the word of God and the word came to him. “And he (Jesus) said, Come” and as he believed the word, the word of God carried him on the water, he began to walk on the water like Jesus did, it was the word from the lord that carried him and made him walk on the dilemma water. That’s how you can sail through life circumstances if you believe and practice the word of God. Peter put what he heard to work and it worked. It never failed and it never fails, he just needed the word “Come” and he acted on it and got his result, how about you that have heard so many things in the word of God today and still waiting for a miracle to take place, faith acts now, you don’t have to wait, it might be too late. You heard to act, do it without fear, it won’t fail you because it’s the word of the lord. The word of God will make you live the kingly life in this world but it takes you believing and acting on it. You can’t suffer what the world is suffering when you act on the word, you will live as though you are not in this world. You will live a life that staggers the understanding of men. Just stick to the word of God and you have it. For example, Jesus said; "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
"they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
The question here is not if it is possible today, the question is; do you believe? because it is your believing and acting that makes it a possibility and remember that if you truly believe, there should be no fear. Saint Paul was bitten by a snake and he shook it off, the people there was waiting for him to begin to vibrate on the ground but nothing happened to him, they knew scientifically the consequences of being beaten by a snake but what they don’t know is what the word of God can make a man on earth. The issue is not what the doctor said but the word says. This same scripture above was fulfilled in the life of Saint Paul that very day, he was actually beaten by a poisonous snake and still lived on without any trouble of any kind, Paul doesn’t have two heads; he only values the word of God more than the words of men.
The reason why some Christians fail is because they are observing lying vanities, they think of the consequences of breaking scientific laws and forget the dynamic power in God’s word, look what peter did later on; “But when he (Peter)saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink” he began to observe lying vanities. You know, he was a fisherman and he knew what that boisterous wind meant and so he became afraid, fear came as a result of observing the boisterous wind note that, it’s important. Fear is an enemy, if you must be afraid of something, it should be fear itself. Don’t allow it to take over you like it took over peter, if you do, what happened to peter right there in the presents of Jesus can also happen to you, it doesn’t matter how Christianized you are.
Some will rather stick to what men say than what God say because they don’t want to be mocked by people. They don’t want people to say they failed after acting on God’s word. A Christian who lives in unbelief is at risk. It is even more than risk; it is tribulation. You’ve got to know you have no choice than to accept the word of God and live by it, believe and confess it with all your heart. Let the word of God be your absolute truth; the one and only option; the factor that controls your life. The word of God deserves your absolute trust. God’s word is ever dependable. You can stick your life on it. Do you want to see God in action? Then trust his word. God’s word is God’s means of expressing his faithfulness. He is committed to his word and that causes him to respond to those who stick to his word. This is something you must train yourself to do, it’s compulsory for any Christian who wants to live a life of victory. I remember how I told someone that crying doesn’t help matters; the person was like “does it mean we shouldn’t cry to God?” It’s a helpless man that cries. Cry is an expression of helplessness and hopelessness. Crying is for someone who doesn’t have an option. Now’ let me ask you this, are you helpless? The answer is No! Not when you are born again, except you don’t know what it means to be born again and if you don’t know what it means to be born again, you better find out. No born again child of God is helpless. If you are still crying, it means you have not started trusting God’s Word because if you really trust God’s word, there shouldn’t be any reason for the tears. Most Christians really think they have faith but in reality they don’t. Unbelief sometimes looks like its faith. A man of unbelief keep believing God will do, but a man of faith believes and proclaims it’s done. If you are still afraid or wondering if it will really come to pass, it means you are still living in realm of unbelief. How could it not come to pass when it involves God? Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? That’s God talking.

Man becomes your God when you don’t trust God’s word. A man who doesn’t trust God’s word will be forced to trust man and I hope you know what that means. That’s one reason why many Christians live like there is no God. Have you been wondering why misfortune come to men? That’s the main reason; trusting men more than the Word of God. And it’s really amazing how most Christians act most times, when men fail them, that’s when they turn to ask God why. Your failure is not God’s failure. You failed because you acted on your own, you trusted the wrong thing not that God’s word is not working; it works for those who has absolute trust in it. When God said “ye were healed” and that you now have divine health, what did you say? What was your response to that? Did you agree to that or busy talking about what you see and feel in your body. Did you agree with God that “ye were healed”? Just accept what God said the way he said it, confess it all the time and rejoice.
