It is another New Year! The New Year 2015 is a year of hope, not only for me but also for my Dad! He is eagerly waiting to hug me and greet me the New Year wishes!
Just like any other anxious dad waiting at the gate to hug his kid returning from school, this heavenly Dad of mine is also waiting eagerly for my arrival!
A hugging parent
It is a common sight that a parent scooping a child and hugging him closely when he/she returns from school. What does this hug accompany? Does it not accompany much affection? It is an expression of his great emotion as if he could not get enough of that beloved child.
My heavenly Dad waiting to hug me!
Is my heavenly Dad waiting to hug me even with greater affection than the earthly dad? Has He not expressed His love in so many ways in His holy scriptures?
His promise through His scriptures
1) My heavenly Dad longs to embrace me with His greatest affection. He wants to show me His affection through the people around me, indirectly saying that He loves me even more than those people.
2) He has written my name in His palm. He always wants my safety and shows me the right path to walk on.
3) He has given me freedom and lets me free to make my own choice. But He always advises me through the scriptures. I should learn to make smart decisions by knowing His ways through the scriptures.
4) A Dad who is always ready to forgive me and embrace me. He always reminds me His loving words, "I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more." (Isaiah 43:25)
5) As my most loving Dad, He always waits eagerly for my next visit. He has given me one more year, the year 2015, to know Him more and love Him more.
