Beatitudes 5

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

MER'CIFUL, (Webster 1828)
a. [from mercy.] Having or exercising mercy; compassionate; tender; disposed to pity offenders and to forgive their offenses; unwilling to punish for injuries; applied appropriately to the Supreme being.

The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, the Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering and abundant in goodness and truth. Exodus 34.

There many ways to show mercy to our fellow man, to the children, to the man or woman, to the old , young and middle aged alike. To the oppressed, the cast down, the poor in spirit and finances, to the sick in spirit and body or mind. The one who smells worse than we, the one who is less educated in the things that we know (for we all are ignorant of some fact somewhere). We must immediately be willing to communicate with readiness and cheerfulness, with affection and tenderness.

At all times we must show, represent, live and believe in the august Glory of God and let that so shine through us, from us, in our words; that no man could separate the twain.

I have stated this but again will say it – We as Christians true to the cross must show mercy to the souls of men, by instructing such as are ignorant to the truth of the Word of God, giving them good direction and advice in spiritual and life holding matters of daily living: reproving them for sin, praying for them, forgiving injuries done by them, and by uplifting those that are cast down.

We need to show mercy as if it is an ornamental wearing that we are never without; God delights in this and in fact it more draws us to a closer relationship with Him.

Personal Space within our Christian spirit

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

We each may obtain this mercy when our spirit and life is truly regenerated and as we are called by grace, our very soul becomes different. Those of us who truly offer this mercy and when it goes above and beyond our human mind and our spirit knowledge is allowed to take control (with the proper understanding of God’s Word) those that allow the control of Christ more than their humanity; they will find and obtain mercy at the throne of grace, to help them in time of need.
