I have read that the light travels unimaginably fast
Yet no matter how quick it is, upon influx it always finds the dark unaware
A poet once said that when light arrives it discovers that the dark has gotten there first
It wakes to the realization that the dark has been waiting for it

This is incredibly inaccurate
Light does indeed find the dark, yet the dark was not there first
The dark never awaits the light
For it shudders in the very thought of its presence

When the light obtains the dark it is only to illuminate all that it suppresses
The dark despises this inherence
For its very nature, its only purpose, is to shadow that which is worthy of introduction
It can be said that in order to notice the light, the dark is necessary
However, the truth is that the light is what is essential to illuminate necessity
For without the light, the dark would go unnoticed
Unseen in all its vengeance
Unwearied in its intention

Darkness may reign on the surface until the light arrives
What is of it may extend its purpose even unto the inclusion of being
Yet the dark is relative
Feeble in what is perpetual
And so it shall be till the very end
The light is absolute and unchanging
Darkness has no wish to realize it
Nor does it desire the light to find you

Darkness creates fear
But perfect love drives out all fear
And in this Truth, Love is the light
Only the darkness is left to tremble
And this angst is held for itself alone

As the dark was second, it also will not be last
For what will outlive it can only be that which has created it
There was darkness upon the face of the earth before the light revealed its self
Yet the light was before all things
It was First
And it will be the Last

The light has always existed
It has never not been here
With no beginning and no end
The darkness could never have preceded it
For Love is the Truth, and that is the Way
And in this Light we shall remain
The Word that has created all things
Even unto the darkness that trembles at the very sound of His name
