Dear Master Potter,
Look at me.
Look at the blood in my veigns and how I breathe.
Look at my fingerprints and how they groove like the waves you shape.
Look at my eyes, polished with colors so deep.
Look at my feet and how they march on.
Look at my lips and how they open and close.
Look at my hands and the way they grab ahold of the rope you lower down.
Look at your trust in me to live in and as your masterpiece.
Look at how my lungs get filled with water when I attempt to face the waves alone.
Look at how you lift me up above the current.
Look at how I wander in the dark, deaf to your voice.
Look at how you lead me to the clearing by your mercy.
Look at how the world swings me around and tangles my strings.
Look at how you cut them off, and, in doing so, release me.
Look at your dedication to buff me out when I get scratched.
Look at your unguarded love to chase me down in the dark of the night.
Look at your wonder for me.
I just wanted to say thank you.
Forever yours, another cracked vessel that you didn't throw away.
