Worship.
Our defense against a still beating heart.
You make everything right in the light of your presence.
You provide peace.
You send a prayer.
You drop a rope.
You open our ears to hear you apart from the guitar.
You open our eyes to witness the army of heavenly abiders surrendering their halos for more time to worship you.
Your angels stand among us;
connecting the biggest of crowds with their voices,
shielding us with their wings.
You join us and smile at our destruction.
Our walls falling,
our souls begging for more of you,
our skin calling out to be filled with more than we can find on this earth.
You are a storm of mass destruction.
My chains hold me no more.
My fears are no where to be found.
I'm here in my cheapest display,
nothing but a shell with empty rooms and open doors.
Fill me to the brim.
Overflow.
Drip from my tongue,
shoot out from my hands.
You, my King, I want to represent.
Harden my hands and soften my heart.
Toughen my fingers with the wood from my cross.
Make my heart tender, but sure.
Take me over.
Me, no more.
You, forevermore.
Grip me tight.
Leave scars on my heart and soul.
Let the world know I am yours!
This body is nothing more than yours.
You restore fortresses.
You rebuild sweet smiles.
How great is my God that the earth is filled with His praise and He loves me enough to say,
"This is your stage.
Go,
share,
love,
enjoy,
but always remember why you are here.
Always remember to worship me for what I have done.
Always remember to lift me up and I will say it all to my Father above."
Thank you for worship, Lord.
