Grow Up!

Have you received the truth … How long now has it been
Are you a baby or a youth … Or a grown man
Are you still on the bottle … Or have you learned to chew on meat
How much truth have you swallowed … Or are you still on the teat

Is all that you know … Dished out by your preacher
Or have you learned to grow … And that the Spirit is your teacher
Have you simply bought … What the preacher tells you
Have you given any thought … If what he says is true

These are some questions … You need to ask yourself
It’s the word you need to rest in … Take the book off the shelf
Do you carry it to be seen … So people see that your good
Or have you been weaned … And actually read the book
The only way to grow … Is to feed on the bread
And now that you’ve been told … It’s all on your head

The word is what protects you … From lies being told
You must feed on the truth … And you must … feed yourself
