WORKS

There are people sitting in Church … They never miss a day Just plumb full of good works … With raised hands they pray But the serious question is this … Do they truly have belief I feel there’s something amiss … Something they do not see The fact that we are saved … Is nothing can be earned We are saved by God’s Grace … By believing what was learned When Jesus Christ was asked … What works must we do A simple truth was unmasked … Belief in me … You are approved When you do believe … The works you do come natural No one needs to see … That you have a full satchel Done to show your gratitude … From deep within your heart And you don’t cop an attitude … About being set apart Be cautious in growing rich … Therein danger lies To get all what you wish … Could bring blindness to your eyes Just believe what Jesus said … He will provide you what you need You have avoided death … So free yourself of greed Horrible, Terrible, Disaster … Testing faith with fire Our King is the Master … He will have what he desires All he ever asked for … Is our Love and our belief Open your hearts door … And find true relief The birth pangs of a lady … Is how it’s been compared And you must not think that maybe … You can be prepared It’s time for you to realize …That the things you have here Will all be pulverized … Not worth to hold dear So in your mind let it go … Keep your eyes looking up Where we’re going won’t be slow … What we’re leaving we give up
