Do You Want Answers? It Is In You!

If you say, “The LORD is my refuge”,
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

Psalms 91: 9-10 (NIV)


What is in you, you say? The answer or answers to your problems! You may look far and wide to find outside help, but you will never locate an outside solution. Any solution has to come from within. It is vitally important to become and be than to get and possess with no work on your part.

What each person carries inside her/him will take a person farther than what carries a person. A person’s mind either constructs barriers or demolishes them.

The late Helen Keller illustrates this beautifully. Ms. Keller was born into the world in bondage. However, with the support of her family and a persistent “Miracle Worker” helped her become free. Ms. Keller was born blind, deaf and mute. Yet, Helen Keller graduated from the prestigious Radcliffe College with highest honors—not an easy task even for a person with no disabilities.

Helen Keller’s unconquerable spirit and triumph over her handicaps and disabilities elevated her to the status of “heroine” in the eyes of many during her time and beyond. Her life and its story resulted in many of the laws and protections of persons with disabilities in the United States and worldwide and to the possibilities and hidden talents so many persons with developmental disabilities possess.

If you have any doubts, find them, muster courage to deal with, seek help to assist you, work hard, overcome any discouragements of naysayers and falls you will experience, and you WILL discover purpose and meaning to your life! It is God’s promise!


Prayer:

Almighty God and Father, I do earnestly pray that You will give me strength to free myself from habits that mar my character and weaken my resolve in my daily life. Teach me, Lord, not lose to courage and fall back in the old ways, but be led by faith and directed by You as to where I should go and what I should do to deal with my problems. I pray these things in faith and hope. Amen.
