FREED FROM SIN

To refer what I do …As works that I must
Would make me a fool … In God do I trust
Gifts not for me … For sin in my life
I have been freed … From all this strife

A thorn in the flesh … Is what it’s called
Gone in a flash … When it’s appalled
The Spirit’s been given … To fight this sin
It comes from heaven … And we’ll win

And then once again … It’s another fight
We cannot pretend … That all is right
So we patiently wait … For the struggle to end
The coming date … Freed from this sin

Our King will be back … Up in the sky
All evil attacked … And all will die
A new body is now … Finally it’s pure
Shaped in the clouds … Eternity is sure

So now it’s the end … And newly begun
We all ascend … Our life with the Son
