HEAVY DUTY FORGIVENESS

Sure, God will forgive white lies, slight exaggerations and a little envy folks exhibit now and then.

He may even put up with some pride in the grandkids and a little coveting of your neighbor’s big promotion.

And God won’t get bent out of shape over a little skipping church or some ill advised gossip now and then.

But how is Jehovah going to relate to the big sins, the people who made huge mistakes in their lives?

What about the murderers, the ones who assault, rape, commit adultery and totally betray other human beings?

What about the prostitutes, the molesters, the hired killers and the ones who abandon their children?

And what about the enemies of God; the devil worshippers, the blasphemers and the God haters?

These are the very ones Jesus came to save – the ones who knew they were unworthy by their own efforts.

The worst sin of all is to be conscious of none. God can only help the person who asks for His aid.

Anyone who is self sufficient cannot be assisted by God, for he realizes no need.

Only those who feel unworthy will call out for help and be willing to receive it when it is offered.

The only sin that won’t be forgiven is the one that is not requested to be forgiven.
