Friendship

It has been many years now
Since God placed you in my life
Not only have we been good friends
But also sisters in Christ
Our two hearts bind together
By the grace of God's great love
Who showers down his blessings
On us from up above
We have shared our joys and sorrows
As the years have come and gone
And one thing you have taught me
Is to continue pressing on
When I reach my 80th birthday
I hope to be like you
Still winning souls for Jesus
With a heart that's pure and true.
Have a happy, joyous birthday
As we celebrate your day
And remember that I love you
Please have fun along the way.
