As a smoldering landscape transformed
The fury of natures path
Our lives too may grow
As mud to lush green grass.
As a tree growing tall
Limbs reaching, shadows spread
Our lives too may grow
Overcoming past shadows of dread.
As an ocean's current flows
Far below the visible miles
Our lives too may grow
From turbulence to peaceful smiles.
As our physical life ends
A curtain call to life's play and last scene
Our lives too may grow
Just as a spiritual dream.
As humans, we need not find struggle
In choosing our final words
For do we ever realize our gravity?
What legacy will be heard?
The answer to these questions
Our minds may never know
Yet, thru God's promises and continual love
Beyond today - Our lives too may grow.
