FATHER IN HEAVEN,
MY HEART IS OVERWHELMED
Written 9-4-2014

Father in Heaven, my heart is overwhelmed.
I am desperately seeking The Rock that is higher than I.
The Rock that is my refuge in the time of battle.
The Rock that weighs me down when discouragement tries to carry me away.
The Rock that takes down my enemies with just one throw.
The Rock that I safely land on when I hit the bottom.
The Rock that is a shelter in the time of storms.

Father in Heaven, my heart is overwhelmed.
I am desperately seeking The Rock that is higher than I.
The Rock in the midst of a Noah size storm, where many around me are
disobedient and faithless. Yet, You remember
my faithfulness and keep me safe.
The Rock in the midst of a Mark size storm, where You
challenge my faith by allowing the winds
of fear and discouragement to blow so that I can truly
see Your power over everything on the earth.
The Rock in the midst of a Jonah size storm, that protects
those around me when my rebellion, fear, and
judgmental attitude cause others to be in danger.
And The Rock in the midst of the Paul size storm,
when everything around me begins to be fall apart,
but You promised that there would be no loss of life.

Father in Heaven, my heart is overwhelmed.
I am desperately seeking The Rock that is higher than I.
Please hear my cry, just as You did Peter's, when he began to sink because he took his focus off of You. Lead me safely to The Rock by Your sovereignty, wisdom, mercy, grace, and love.
In Jesus name I pray and give You thanks, AMEN.
