"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls."- Hebrews 12:1-3 NKJV

As you enter your quiet place, bending your knees or dropping from exhaustion, consider the word ENDURANCE. Sometimes our battles, assignments, situations, and/or circumstances are A LOT harder than we feel we can bear. They may even last A LOT longer than we believe we have the strength to survive. BUT GOD... God sent Jesus to make our run easier by running ahead of us, blazing the path. He shows us how to run despite adversity, opposition, and deterrents. Often as we run, we get distracted by the circumstances of life. Christ even shows us what to focus on as we run...HIMSELF. The end all be all. The Alpha and Omega. The Peace in the midst of every storm. Our strength in our very time of weakness. And a very present help in the time of trouble. He does this all while He is running WITH US!

Father, I come before you, tired, weary, broken, frustrated, and overwhelmed. I am ready to give up. I humbly ask for a transfer of burdens. Mine are too heavy and Yours are light and easy. I cast mine off! If I lay them aside, I tend to pick them back up. I want to run with You and for You with endurance, excellence, and in victory! Please clean my cleats and sharpen my spikes that I may run on another day for You. In Jesus name I pray and give You thanks. AMEN
