MY MOST SOLEMN MESSAGE

How do you decide what is right and what is wrong? How do you decide what is truth and what is error?

Some people believe the first thing they hear and understand, and never open their mind to any other ideas.

Other folks believe what their parents believed, and never consider any other alternatives.

Some people follow the crowd and do what the majority believe, or they shut out the whole world and think they alone are correct.

Many people get sooo convinced of one position, they don’t ever take into account any other facts.

Scripture tells of the whole world being deceived in Noah’s day, and the chosen people rejecting Jesus when He came.

This is serious business, most humans are wrong about many things. How can we know?

Wikipedia says there are reported to be 41,000 different Christian denominations, plus all the other beliefs.

There are hundreds of mainstream denominations with passionate believers who rely on positive proof for what they believe.

How are you to know the truth - have you ever seriously considered more than one outlook on a subject?

How can God show you which of the 41,000 are right, if you have never opened your mind to consider any other views?

In scripture, God often sent people with new insight; and Jesus came and re-interpreted the whole covenant with Israel.

A closed mind will put you outside Noah’s boat, or rejecting God’s new truth as introduced by Jesus of Nazareth.

Is it ever safe to think you know it all and refuse to look at a new interpretation? Scripture shows it is very risky.

If one is as closed minded in their politics as they may be in their religion, no wonder Jesus got crucified.

A lot of people are going to be shocked in heaven – if they even make it.
