Be watchful

Rev 3:2
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

These words of Jesus is a stern warning to us as christians and we need to consider it thoughtfully.

He is still examining our work and marking it. Our works and duties are not yet perfect before Him.

Jesus says, Be Watchful ...gregoreuo ...gk, meaning ... to keep awake ...watch ...be vigilant ...wake

Because...
...the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. 1 Pet 4:7

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 1 Pet 5:8

As christians and people close to Jesus, we will attract an attack, you will be sought after to be devoured ...so be watchful Jesus says. The tempter will come to you uninvited.

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons; Deut 4:9

We should strengthen what remain noble and true in our lives lest they also die... by abiding in the word ..the vine ..to nourish us again

The word dominating you is the lordship or the strength of Christ in you. Jesus told Joshua ...

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. Jos 1:7

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. Heb 10:38

So then...
Faith ...to be lived by the just ...cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Rom 10:17

Be watchful Jesus says ...

And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. Mark 13:37

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isa 41:10

But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. Mark 13:32-33

Therefore friend be vigilant and awake unto you duty as a christian soldier. Begin to strengthen what remain that is about to die in your life.

Examine your spiritual life with the wordray and it will tell you how dutiful your life have been. Be watchful Jesus says.
