Look around, you will soon find out that this country is in terrible shape with its Christian perspective. With all of the problems going around and the arguments of what is and isn’t acceptable today we as Christians get lost somewhere in all of it. The scary thing is when the government starts telling us that a man can legally marry a man and a woman likewise. The responsibility to keep this country in God’s favor is clearly left up to us, his Church. The calling is understood but the mission…how do we go about it? Where do we start? What do we do and how do we act? Christ called us to be set apart from the world.
The time for us to be set apart is now more than ever before. The starting place is in the church itself, behind the closed doors, in the Pastor’s office and in the classes. Worship is where the heart of God is really found; you cannot enter into God’s presence and hear his voice without worship in your heart. You can’t change your church let alone your country or the world without hearing God’s voice. There is a worldwide call to every Christian to be united in Christ with one another. God wants a Church that cares nothing about denomination or traditions but about Him and His will. It’s not just our turn to act; it’s yours! We’ve seen Satan invade our hearts, homes, schools and even churches, all the way up to the white house and beyond. Satan has even begun to assault marriage, God’s own creation to unite man with woman and woman with her husband.
We’re God’s royal children, therefore we hold power over Satan, yet we allow him to walk up and take whatever he wants. Satan enjoys walking on top of God’s Church. The time to rise up and fight is now. If you’re waiting for the battle call, you’ve already missed it; it was sounded when Christ breathed his last breath on the cross.
You might possibly think that you alone can do nothing for this country and the world, well…you’re right. It calls for unity in the church, you can’t do it alone but you can be the starting point. Go to your Pastor, to your church; intercede for the Church and this country. The time to humble ourselves is now. It starts in your own prayer closet, not a simple prayer ‘God bless the USA’ but real intersession for your fellow Christians, for your Pastor, for your worship leader, for the countries leaders, for the lost nations of the world. When you learn to intercede, you get to know God on a personal level and He’s no longer just your creator, but your best friend, and you fall madly in love with Him. Once you fall in love with Christ you discover the joy of the Lord, and the joy of the Lord is your strength. When you have joy, you can’t help but let it out, you want to clap, to laugh, to dance, to scream with delight…that’s alright! That is when you begin to praise and worship God with your heart, with your soul, with your mind and with your body. The heart of worship is where you die to the flesh and become alive in Christ. Your worship can change a life, a life can change a crowd, a crowd can change the country, and the country can change the world. You are important. Your Worship is your weapon. Bible study, intersession and worship define who you are. When real worshipers will arise, we will see churches unite and schools reclaimed by our children and teens that just want the world to hear about their God. It is when you’re strong that you can fight, in politics or in the office, at home or at school, at church or at the grocery store. If God’s children would only realize who they are and begin to praise and worship and rise up in their spirit, they could take control of their flesh and do what they are called to do in any shape form or fashion. If the bride of Christ would realize to whom she is betrothed, we would see a revolutionizing of minds, we would see Lawyers fighting Satan in the courtrooms. We would see Pastors telling congregations the truth about heaven, hell and who they serve, no more feel-good messages to get a good paycheck from the Church. We would see news channels spotlighting the peace disturbing churches who can’t sing loud enough on Sundays or Wednesdays, the people who dance their way out the door, into their car and into the restaurants. We would see US troops going to Iraq and coming home with stories about the prayer meetings in the streets and the simple civilians who found a King who loved them. We would see Christian men and women start singing God’s praise in the workplace, off key and joyful. Overall, we would SEE the church! Christ is something to sing and dance about.
Maybe this is political but how do you expect a change in politics when we can’t see one in the church? It has to start with you, find some real prayer partners; do whatever you feel you need to but do something to get to the heart of God. The call has been sounded and you’ve been drafted…Charge!
