Once again the stands are waiting
to see if we still will hit the home-run
As the umpire crouchs, behind the plate
in the scourching heat from the sun
So here we are, up to bat
sweat pouring as, we continue to stand proud
but that's ok" for the challenge is noted
as we behold the silence of the crowd
Life's trials are waiting to strike us out
it has no mercy or pity for us
It comes in the good, as well as the bad
this is why we have to keep our trust
In all the promise's in God's word
take them with us when we're up to bat
Then dig our feet in, and go for the gold
and as any player does, just tip your hat
Now if first you don't hit, keep on trying
and if the crowd have ceased to cheer
Search deep within, and pull out all stops
and banish every doubt and fear
Now in life there are a many of runners
the I wants, the would do's, and the don't's
First base, the second, third and fourth
don't become, those one's who won't
For on this field there will be some tests
a few curve balls, will fly your way
But always remember, to aim up high
and to claim your victory today
