Encouragement

In times of turmoil when events in my life just don't make sense,
I draw closer to God,
for in His loving presence,
I find solace and strength.
For I know God's will for me,
that is to live a life that is truly pleasing to Him
which is not always easy when circumstances arise when I want to
rebel and react.
But in doing so,
I greatly diminish not only my peace of mind and serenity,
but I also hinder my ability to be usefull to others.
Although my problems, sorrows, or pain may feel like they are too much to handle,
nothing is too great for God.
He gently whispers. .
you are deserving,
you are valuable,
you are important,
you are worth being cherished,
and above all
you are worth being loved.

Although many in my life may argue,
I don't listen to them. . .
instead I stay focused on the voice of God.
He knows my heart's greatest desires,
and He is the One Who will make it all possible.
No matter what others may say,
no matter what they may do;
as with everything,
He has the final say.

I have argued with Him before,
but it always turns out the same way:
what he says. . .
goes.
