PURPOSEFULNESS

Daniel 1:8 “And Daniel purpose in his heart………..”
The matter of purposefulness of an individual, team, organization, home and institution is the foundation of being relevant. The commitment to purpose get relevance updated and establish. It is the primary entrance into relevance and that is where Daniel begin from.

Purposefulness is the determined resolutions and consistent intentions based on convinced credible clarified and well classified direction which are not susceptible to periodic challenges, responsibility, opportunity, distraction, barrier and geographical location.

It is very difficult to have an established relevance in the absence of purposefulness. A purposeful person will survive any condition of service to establish his or her course. A home can remain united in spite of external and internal challenges. A team, organization or nation will form a cohesive network that is capable of out living any possible powerful internal and external forces that may periodically or consistently smash itself against her with an intention to cause a collapsed system. Enforcing formidable discipline to the mind is actually by the principal effort of purposefulness. A purposeful person will easily recognize, efficiently manage, allocate and utilize resources.

Purposefulness is the perfect antidote for distraction. ”But Daniel purpose in his heart that he will not defile himself of the king’s meat nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he may not defile himself”, Daniel 1:8
The appropriate residence of purpose is the heart, and those who must have an established relevance must be prepared in the heart to permanently accommodate safely the purpose of God. There are many proposals, pretending promotion, partial privileges that are carelessly or deliberately orchestrated to displace purpose in man’s heart. A deliberate intension of the heart to retain purpose is the perfect antidote for distraction. To defile purpose simply means to be distracted from credible course and direction, enslave credible concepts, ideas and intension, fault the facts or information necessary to continue a course in a particular direction or compromise necessary actions, illusion of truth, localize progress, success and achievement and drive credible course or anticipation to extinction
It was a scarce privilege to dine with the king or be fed with the same delicacies meant for the king, but it was first sacrificed to the idols, to negate the belief and course of Daniel and so the privilege was turn down; a necessary risk to retaining the valid and sole purpose for his life.

Whosoever has failed in purposefulness has failed in all! He or she is easily distracted, displaced and disturbed. It will be difficult to persevere, maintain patience and persistence, endure necessary discomfort, embrace diligence, accept responsibilities and necessary challenge, recognize, utilize and multiply opportunities appropriately. The road to enduring relevance is closed and it is unfortunate. Inferiority complex, fear, greed, self centeredness, and ignorance had led quite many out of their purpose in life.

The book of Judges, the parable of the son of Gideon well articulated the importance of purposefulness and the proposal of privileges and promotion intended to distract various trees with established purpose to pursue another course. Some maintained theirs but one fell a victim and created problems.

The olive tree preferred to keep producing it fitness to honor God and man than becoming king over other trees. Also the fig tree was contended with its sweetness and good fruit than meddle out of calling. The vine prefer just making the gladness derived from it fruit to God and man than contesting for the throne among trees, but the bramble with a violent disposition did not consider purpose and was distracted.

A purposeful heart cannot loose out in the promotion of relevance, in fact God preferred to entrust such men and women with much than commit Himself to unstable genius.
